Friday the 13th Part 2 – Filming Locations

Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) was mostly shot in Litchfield County in western Connecticut. The village of New Preston stood in for the town of Crystal Lake.

New Preston Village Center

Address: Main St (US 202) at East Shore Rd, New Preston, CT

The town scenes were shot along the village’s main street, including the scenes with Crazy Ralph and the tow truck prank. The village looks much the same today.

Pergola Home

Address: 7 East Shore Rd, New Preston, CT

This building was the general store where the tow truck prank was filmed.

Now a home and garden shop.

Dawn Hill Antiques

Address: 11 Main St, New Preston, CT

This building was the grocery store where Crazy Ralph shows up outside.

Now an antiques shop.
