In A Violent Nature 2 Dated

Shudder has set a release date for In a Violent Nature: Part 2. The slasher sequel opens exclusively in theaters on February 12, 2027, Valentine’s Day weekend. Ry Barrett, who returns as masked killer Johnny, revealed the date during Shudder’s panel at New York Comic Con, according to Fangoria.

Nate Wilson co-directs this time around, with Chris Nash returning as writer and co-director. The story follows Johnny stalking a summer camp, where a young outcast gets stuck for the night with his counselor sister and her friends during an end-of-season party.

The film already had a secret premiere at Fantastic Fest, and early reactions are mixed on one big swap: the sequel drops the original’s experimental long-take gimmick that made the first film stand out. Reviewers do agree on one thing, though — the practical kills are some of the best of the year, which counts for a lot in a franchise built on gore as craft.

In a Violent Nature: Part 2 hits theaters exclusively on February 12, 2027.
