Where Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956) was filmed in California: the Sierra Madre town square, Kersting Court and the Allied Artists studio.

Don Siegel’s 1956 film used Sierra Madre as the main stand-in for the fictional town of Santa Mira. Most interiors were shot at the Allied Artists studio, and other scenes were filmed around Los Angeles.

Miles and Becky flee up this long outdoor staircase from the pod people.
