Stranger Things – Filming Locations
Where Stranger Things was filmed in Georgia: downtown Hawkins in Jackson, the Eggo grocery store, Benny's Burgers, the cemetery and the pool.
Stranger Things is set in Hawkins, Indiana, but the series was filmed in and around Atlanta from 2015 to 2024. The small town of Jackson played downtown Hawkins.
Downtown Hawkins (Jackson town square)

The square played downtown Hawkins from the first season on. The old courthouse was the Hawkins Public Library, and this building was Melvald’s General Store, where Joyce works.
Public streets, open any time. Several shops on the square cater to fans.
Bradley’s Big Buy (Piggly Wiggly)

The grocery store where Eleven steals the Eggo waffles in season one.
A working grocery store, open to the public.
Benny’s Burgers (Tiffany’s Kitchen)

The diner where Eleven turns up after escaping the lab in the very first episode.
A working restaurant. You can sit in the booth from the scene.
Stone Mountain Cemetery

Barb’s funeral in season two was filmed here, and it played the cemetery where Max visits Billy’s grave in season four.

South Bend Pool
Address: 2000 Lakewood Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30315
The Hawkins Community Pool in season three, where Billy works as a lifeguard.
A public city pool, open in the summer.
