The Evil Dead (1981) – Filming Locations

Sam Raimi shot most of The Evil Dead in the woods outside Morristown, Tennessee, over the winter of 1979 and 1980. Some extra scenes were shot later in Michigan.

The Cabin Site

The cabin where Ash and his friends stay, inside and out. The cabin burned down in 1982. Only part of the stone chimney, the dug-out cellar hole and some rubble are left.
