1408 Follow-Up Reportedly In The Works
A follow-up to 1408 is reportedly in development, with John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson returning. Director Mikael Håfström is said to be coming back too.
The report comes from Daniel Richtman’s Patreon and was picked up by Dread Central. Nothing has been officially announced, and there’s no word on the story or a release date.
The 2007 film was based on a Stephen King short story. Cusack played Mike Enslin, a writer who debunks haunted places for a living and checks into room 1408 at New York’s Dolphin Hotel after the manager, played by Jackson, begs him not to.
It made more than $131 million worldwide on a reported budget of around $22.5 million.
Treat this one as a rumor until a studio confirms it.
