Uncle Fred’s Monster Problem Gets Trailer
Uncle Fred’s Monster Problem has a trailer. The creature feature is written and directed by Dave Kerr, who made the Bloody Summer Camp movies.
Adam and his friends stay in his late uncle’s camper for a weekend in rural Virginia. A seven foot creature starts hunting them, and with no way to call for help, they have to survive both the monster and each other. Kerr has described it as Tucker and Dale meeting Pumpkinhead, with buddy comedy mixed into the horror. Wayne Anderson built the practical creature suit.
Felissa Rose, who played Angela in Sleepaway Camp, and Brian Bremer, who appeared in Pumpkinhead, lead the cast along with Brendan Lynch, Aaron T. Jackson and Angelina Paquin.
The film also carries a tribute. Jim Krut, who played the helicopter zombie killed by a rotor blade in George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead, has his final role here. Tom Savini cast him in that 1978 film, and the part kept Krut on the convention circuit for decades. He died in August, and the production is billing Uncle Fred’s Monster Problem as his last on screen appearance.
Slasher 15 Productions has dated the film for 2027. No distributor has been announced yet.
