Shudder’s Hallowarrior Gets First Trailer

Shudder has released the trailer for Hallowarrior, a post-apocalyptic horror film and the feature directorial debut of writer-director Ben Sottak. The story follows Pumpkin, the last girl on earth and sole survivor of a humanity-ending plague, as she scavenges a wasteland for supplies on the eve of Halloween.

Her ritual gets interrupted when a gang of raiders shows up, forcing her to fight back with candy, wit, and weapons. JoBlo reports the film blends coming-of-age, post-apocalyptic thriller, and home invasion elements, and early reactions have been positive.

The cast includes Milly Shapiro (Hereditary), Shannyn Sossamon, Ajani Russell, and AJ Bowen.

Hallowarrior premieres on Shudder October 16, positioning it as a new Halloween-season watch.
