Crystal Lake Casts Teenage Jason

Peacock’s Friday the 13th prequel series Crystal Lake has cast its teenage Jason Voorhees. Jonathan Tison, known for Murder Calls, will play the character, joining Callum Vinson, who plays a younger version of Jason in the show.

Dread Central reports the casting as part of an ongoing rollout ahead of the show’s premiere. Crystal Lake follows Pamela Voorhees’ grief in the aftermath of Jason’s drowning, along with the strange happenings that follow in the town around Crystal Lake.

The series is set to premiere on Peacock October 15, 2026, from A24.

With two actors now confirmed for different ages of Jason, Crystal Lake looks to be building its version of the character gradually rather than revealing him all at once. More casting and footage should follow as the premiere date gets closer.
