American Horror Story Gets Season 14
FX has unfortunately renewed American Horror Story for a 14th season. The news comes about a week before the Season 13 finale, which airs Thursday, October 29 on FX and Hulu.
No theme, cast, or premiere date has been announced yet. Season 13 built itself as a callback season, bringing back characters and storylines from earlier years of the anthology, so speculation about where the show goes next is already running wild.
TVLine broke the renewal news on October 20. Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk created the series with 20th Television, and the show has built its long run by switching settings and casts almost every season, from a haunted house to an asylum to a hotel.
With 13 seasons behind it and a 14th already ordered, American Horror Story remains FX’s longest running hour long series. Fans will likely spend the next few months guessing at the new setting before anything is confirmed.
