Clayface Gets New Posters

New posters for DC’s Clayface have landed ahead of the film’s October 23 release, and they’re focused on Matt Hagen’s transformation. JoBlo reports a trailer is “rumored to be around the corner,” so the posters are likely just the warmup.

Tom Rhys Harries plays Hagen, a Gotham street kid turned Hollywood actor whose life is destroyed when a local crime boss leaves him disfigured. An experimental treatment restores his looks but causes mental deterioration and gives him shapeshifting powers, sending him down a path of revenge.

James Watkins (Speak No Evil) directs from a script by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, with Flanagan also credited for the story. Flanagan originally developed Clayface as a passion project but couldn’t direct it himself due to his Stephen King’s Carrie series. James Gunn greenlit the film for DC Studios.

The cast also includes Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, Eddie Marsan, Nancy Carroll, and Joshua James. Clayface hits theaters October 23.
