Diablo Cody Teases Jennifer’s Body 2

Diablo Cody says the script for Jennifer’s Body 2 is finished, and she’s sharing a few details about where the story goes.

JoBlo reports that Cody said on the Petticoat Revolution podcast that Jennifer stays a sympathetic character even after she becomes a demon.

“Jennifer is a sympathetic character for me, before and after the transformation,” Cody said. She described Jennifer as very isolated, very lonely and very insecure, adding that in her current state she’s “almost exsanguinated.”

Cody didn’t give a release date for the sequel, but said it’s coming “imminently.” The original Jennifer’s Body, starring Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried, bombed in theaters back in 2009 before becoming a cult favorite years later, and fans have been asking for a follow-up ever since.

No cast or director has been announced for the sequel yet.
