Where Interview with the Vampire (1994) was filmed in Louisiana: two plantation houses and a French Quarter landmark.

Interview with the Vampire (1994) was shot at two plantation houses west of New Orleans and on the streets of the French Quarter.

Oak Alley Plantation

Address: 3645 Highway 18, Vacherie, LA 70090

The mansion and its long alley of oak trees were used for the outside of Louis’s plantation home.

Open to the public as a historic site.

Destrehan Plantation

Address: 13034 River Rd, Destrehan, LA 70047

The inside scenes of the plantation house were filmed here. The parlors and one bedroom were redecorated for the film.

Open to the public as a historic site.

Madame John’s Legacy

Address: 632 Dumaine St, New Orleans, LA 70116

This French Quarter house appears briefly in the scene where coffins are carried out as Louis describes death spreading through the city.

Closed for restoration, but you can see the outside from Dumaine Street.
