New Alien Movie Is In The Works
20th Century Studios is developing a new Alien movie, and Aaron Guzikowski is writing it. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news.
Guzikowski wrote Prisoners and created Raised by Wolves, the HBO Max series Ridley Scott produced and directed episodes of. Scott is back on board here as a producer through his company Scott Free, alongside Michael Pruss. Nobody is attached to direct yet.
This one is not the Alien: Romulus sequel. According to THR’s sources, it picks up the thread from Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, with the android David as the link between them. Michael Fassbender played David in both films, but he is not attached to the new project at this point.
The Romulus sequel is still a separate project. JoBlo reports that Fede Álvarez co-wrote its script but won’t be directing it, and the studio is still looking for someone to take over.
There’s no cast, director or release date for the Guzikowski film yet.
