Night of the Living Dead (1968) – Filming Locations

Where Night of the Living Dead (1968) was filmed in Pennsylvania: the Evans City Cemetery from the opening scene.

George A. Romero and his Pittsburgh crew shot Night of the Living Dead in and around Evans City, Butler County, in 1967.

Evans City Cemetery

Address: 8600 Franklin Rd, Evans City, PA 16033

The famous opening, where Johnny teases Barbra that they’re coming to get her, was filmed here. The small chapel on the hill is in the film too, and fans paid to restore it in 2014.

An active cemetery, open dawn to dusk. Be respectful of the graves.
