Scream’s C.W. Morgan Has Died

C.W. Morgan, who played Hank Loomis in the original Scream, has died at 72.

TMZ reports that Morgan died on August 30 in Los Angeles County, according to medical examiner records. His cause of death hasn’t been confirmed.

Morgan’s Hank Loomis was Billy Loomis’s father and had history with Sidney Prescott’s mother — a small but memorable thread in the original film’s web of secrets. His best-known scene has him showing up at the police station to vouch for his son during questioning. He also appeared briefly in a flashback in Scream 3.

Morgan’s death is only coming to light now, nearly six weeks after he passed. Our condolences to his family and friends.
