Stephen King Praises ‘The Cycle’, Trailer Drop

The Cycle has a new trailer, and Stephen King is calling it “The Thing” meets “The Silence of the Lambs.” King described it as “a terrific fright flick.”

Deborah Ann Woll and Jeffrey Donovan star. Woll plays a daughter investigating her father’s death after his body turns up at a crime scene, despite him having been missing for 36 years. Jordan Downey directs.

The Cycle premiered at Fantastic Fest and hits Shudder on October 23.

A Stephen King endorsement carries real weight in horror circles, and comparing a film to both The Thing and Silence of the Lambs sets a high bar. We’ll see if The Cycle actually delivers on it when it streams next month.
