Child’s Play 3 – Filming Locations

Nearly all of the location shooting for Child’s Play 3 (1991) was done at the closed Kemper Military School campus in Boonville, in central Missouri.

Former Kemper Military School Campus

Address: 3rd St, Boonville, MO 65233 (historical marker at 716 3rd St)

The campus played the military academy where Chucky is sent after being rebuilt. Filming started here in February 1991, and the school’s own cadets and instructors appeared as extras.

Now a city park with a community college and YMCA. Most of the old buildings are fenced off, so view them from the street.
