First Look: Cardellini in Voorhees Sweater

We’ve got a first look at Linda Cardellini wearing the iconic blue sweater as Pamela Voorhees in “Crystal Lake.” Bloody Disgusting shared the image, which comes from a costume feature in Emmy Magazine.

It’s the same cable knit sweater Betsy Palmer wore as Mrs. Voorhees in the original 1980 Friday the 13th. Costume designer Cristina Spiridakis confirmed that even though “Crystal Lake” is set before that film, Pamela already owned the sweater years earlier, which keeps the visual continuity intact.

The A24 prequel series follows Pamela Voorhees grieving her son Jason’s drowning, and the disturbing chain of events that starts when two strangers show up asking questions about her past. Callum Vinson plays young Jason, and Brad Caleb Kane is showrunner.

“Crystal Lake” premieres all episodes October 15 on Peacock.
