Hellraiser Revival Reveals New Pinhead

The ending of Hellraiser: Revival reveals a new form for Pinhead, and it’s a significant redesign. Spoilers follow for the video game’s conclusion.

Dread Central reports that after protagonist Aidan strikes a deal with Pinhead to revive his girlfriend Sunny, her rebirth becomes the vehicle for Pinhead’s own ascension. He’s reborn with a black metallic finish, a diamond shape behind him, and stretched, muscular forms across his neck and body. The look reads as a visual merger of Pinhead and Leviathan, the geometric deity that rules the Labyrinth.

Doug Bradley returns to voice Pinhead in the game, his first time back with the character since Hellraiser: Hellworld more than two decades ago. He also voiced Pinhead in Dead by Daylight in 2022, and he worked with the developers to help rebuild the character’s voice effects from scratch. Clive Barker, who created the character, said simply that “Doug is Pinhead and Pinhead is Doug.”

Hellraiser: Revival is out now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
