Seth Rogen Praises Barker’s New Film

Seth Rogen says Curry Barker’s next movie is even better than Obsession. Creepy Catalog reports that Rogen made the comment while speaking with TIME for the magazine’s TIME100 Next feature on Barker.

Rogen said Barker is just as good an actor as he is a director, after watching him star in the new film Anything But Ghosts. He also talked about catching Obsession six weeks into its theatrical run, at a sold out Tuesday night screening where the whole crowd was laughing and screaming through it.

Obsession turned into one of this year’s biggest horror surprises, which is probably why Rogen’s comments are getting attention. Anything But Ghosts stars Barker and his longtime creative partner Cooper Tomlinson as a pair of fake ghost hunters who run into something real. Aaron Paul and Bryce Dallas Howard round out the cast. Blumhouse and Focus Features will release the film in theaters on May 7, 2027.
