Screamfest Opens With The Night Driver

Screamfest’s 26th edition will open with the world premiere of The Night Driver, a road-stalker thriller. iHorror reports that the festival runs October 6-15 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Josh Lucas stars as Hurdis Jones, a pharmaceutical salesman who survives an encounter with a killer on the road, then gets stalked and framed for murders he didn’t commit. Alyssa Milano plays his wife Cheryl, and David Arquette plays Detective Hank Granger, who investigates the case.

Sean Cunningham, who directed the original Friday the 13th, is a producer on the film. The director called having Cunningham on board “a dream come true.” Cinematographer Peter Deming will also receive the festival’s Career Achievement Award this year.
