Sam Raimi And Jordan Peele Team Up

Universal Pictures has picked up Portrait of God, a horror feature based on Dylan Clark’s viral YouTube short. TheWrap reports that Sam Raimi and Jordan Peele are producing together for the first time, through their companies Ghost House Pictures and Monkeypaw Productions.

Clark’s original short premiered in 2022 and has racked up more than 8.6 million views. It follows a religious young woman investigating a painting that appears completely black to some people, while others see a figure watching them from the dark.

Clark is directing the feature and co-writing the script with Joe Russo. Chase Infiniti, who recently starred in One Battle After Another, has been attached to star. Plot details for the feature version are being kept under wraps.
